As the deadline for applications draws near, we are excited to present you the dedicated panel of mentors who are joining forces to develop the startup community in Cluj-Napoca. Coming from very diverse backgrounds and geographies, ranging from highly experienced investors, entrepreneurs and CEOs and to very talented startup founders who have just taken off, they are looking forward to meeting the selected teams and getting down to business, through weekly workshops, face-to-face or remote mentoring.
Spherik teams will learn about what strategy means for a start-up from one of the most dynamic strategy professionals in the industry, with over 15 years of experience. Iulian Padurariu began his entrepreneurial career by opening Jack Trout’s consulting office in Bucharest and is now working in Vienna with diverse clients across the region. Iulian is very supportive of the entrepreneurial scene in Romania, and acts in several entrepreneurial initiatives.
Ana-Maria Andronic is partner at the Biris-Goran law firm and co-founder of VentureConnect. She is one of the leading Romanian experts in matters related to startup incorporation procedures, both for Romania and USA. Ana-Maria is the go-to person for legal issues related to start-ups, and will be leading our workshop on Conflict Management, Prevention, and Legal.
Bogdan Colceriu, co-founder of Trilulilu, is a marketing and branding expert, and has developed brands such as Okian or Frisbo, where he serves CEO and CMO respectively. Bogdan will lead our workshop on Sales and Marketing. Besides being an experienced entrepreneur, Bogdan is highly involved in youth debate teams and the founder of the Romanian curling team.
Radu Georgescu is, without a doubt, one of the most successful Romanian tech entrepreneurs and a recent angel investor. Having had two very successful exists, as well as numerous other positive entrepreneurial experiences, Radu will help our teams learn and practice Pitching to Investors, providing them with critical feedback for the Demo Day in March.
Marius Iatan will also bring a valuable perspective on pitching , bringing in his experience as a successful startup founder. Marius is the co-founder of RenderStreet, one of the most promising tech startups developed in Romania. Thus, our teams will find out about how life really is as a startup founder and what they should expect on both the long and short term.
Antonia Onaca is a psychologist with 10 years of experience in training, human resources and entrepreneurship. For the last years, she has been highly dedicated to helping people reach their goals, calling herself a solutionist. Antonia will teach our participants about some vital topics – stress management, failure, and the pivot. Spoiler Alert: there are only two ways to really fail—either by never trying, or by never learning.
Elena Markova will teach Spherik startups everything there is to know about a topic that is crucial, but far too often taken for granted by start-ups – Market Research. With more than 6 years of experience conducting top-tier research for clients ranging from large, to small, Elena co-founded UserVibes. Combining her strong research experience and entrepreneurial experience, Elena is ready to help startups learn what they need to know about market research when undertaking a new endeavor.
Ciprian Soleriu will teach our teams everything there is to know about identifying their customers’ needs and catering for them. Author and trainer at Conversion Academy, Ciprian uses both his extensive experience and psychology in order to help businesses approach clients and increase sales.
Oana Calugar, who will be leading our Hypothesis and Assumption Testing workshop, has been a great asset to the Romanian startup ecosystem, and served as an organizer for Startup Weekend and Executive Manager for Tech Angels. Oana co-founded UserVibes and is the Head of Customer Support for Alive Shoes, a unique Italian Shoe startup.
Edit Todoran has both experience in constructions and in HR, having founded her own HR consulting company 11 years ago. She will teach our participants about the human part of the business and will deliver a workshop on providing and receiving feedback—a critical foundation for getting the most out of our program.
Sorin Costreie, teaching Analytic Philosophy at the University of Bucharest, is another reason why Spherik Accelerator is unique. He will help our teams rethink the problem they are addressing, as well as their solution to it in a workshop about Critical Thinking.
Besides these fabulous people delivering the Spherik weekly workshops, other international mentors, startup CTOs and invetors will advise the startups through 1-on-1 mentoring. sessions.
