Startups can learn about private and public funding by joining the one-day course in Cluj-Napoca, on September 26th. The workshop is organized within the framework of MY-GATEWAY project.
The course will cover both public and private types of funding for startups, and will be hosted by Krisztina Toth – Project coordinator for MY-GATEWAY project & Senior Project Manager @ Europa Media, and Mircea Vadan – founder @ Activize and Cluj Startups.
Kristina is a Senior Project Manager @ Europa Media and the Managing Director of Europa Media Innovations, the newest member of Europa Media Group. The company provides innovation management and strategy development services, including assistance in open innovation, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe strategy support for public and private organisations, funding mapping aid for startups, SMEs and scaleups, and high-level financial consulting.
Mircea has hands-on experience in working with startups as a business developer, in marketing and product management. As Managing Partner of Activize, in the last 4 years his focus was on working with companies and startups on product management, creating acceleration programs for startups and delivering workshops on topics like customer validation, product definition, product metrics, user acquisition, user engagement and investment.
The course will cover some topics of interest for the startups operating in Romania. To name a few: National Funding Instruments in Romania, European Funding Opportunities, Preparing Funding Materials, How to Pitch Your Business and more.
During the workshop startups will have the chance to learn about the local funding opportunities & different types of capital, discuss the process of fundraising and its possible alternatives, getting familiar with the right ways to pitch in front of investors and how they can benefit from the Startup Europe opportunities.
